Totvs boss steps down to become IBM LatAm head
The director president at Brazilian software giant Totvs, Rodrigo Kede Lima, has stepped down from his role to take over the job of general manager for Latin America at IBM.
The news mark Kede's return to the Big Blue, where he had worked for two decades before joining Totvs, in a variety of senior roles. He replaces José Décurnex, who is leaving IBM after 28 years of service to return to his native Uruguay.
Kede had been appointed as the top man at Totvs last June.The plan back then was that he would be gradually be taking over the role of chief executive from the company's founder Laércio Cosentino over the next three years.
Goals for the executive at the Brazilian ERP developer had included the expansion of its international business, which represent an insignificant amount of the company's net revenue.
Strangely, a note released by Totvs days before states that Kede stepped down due to "health issues" that had a "personal and family impact."
The statement added that Kede would still remain in the company's management board and that Totvs would continue to seek a replacement for its founder and chief executive.
